About Hemant Chaudhary, SEO expert in Chandigarh

The short version

I am Hemant Chaudhary, a freelance SEO expert in Chandigarh. I help local businesses show up in Google Search, the Google Maps pack and, more recently, AI answers from tools like ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews. I have done this every working day since 2011, and independently since 2018.

My clients are clinics, hospitals, salons, contractors, consultants, shops and service businesses in India, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and the UAE. Most of them found me the same way you probably did: by searching for someone who does what I do, and seeing my name near the top. People who know me well call me Bhure, and some of my long-term clients do too.

How I got into SEO

I finished my B.Tech at Chandigarh University in 2011. Like many engineering graduates that year, I did not have a clear plan, but I was curious about how Google decided which websites to show. I joined Sunsoftware Pvt. Ltd. in Chandigarh as an SEO trainee, and within a few months I knew this was the work I wanted to do.

In those early years SEO was a different world. Keyword density, directory submissions and article spinning were still common, and I learned a lot about what not to do by watching what stopped working after each Google update. The lesson that stayed with me is simple: tactics that try to trick Google eventually fail, and work that genuinely helps searchers keeps paying off.

In 2013 I moved to a Chandigarh digital marketing firm as an SEO Expert and later became SEO Manager. Over five years there I handled SEO for dozens of businesses, trained junior team members, and learned how agencies work from the inside, including the parts clients rarely see. It is where I first noticed that the person a client talks to is often not the person doing the work, and that small local businesses frequently get the least attention.

Why I went freelance in 2018

By 2018 I had a clear idea of how I wanted to work: directly with business owners, on a small number of accounts, with honest pricing and no long contracts. So I went independent. I started taking projects on Upwork, where international clients could see my work history and reviews, and I built a local client base in the Chandigarh Tricity.

Over the years my work narrowed towards the area where I could make the biggest difference for small and medium businesses: local search.

Google Business Profile and Google Maps

Setting up and verifying profiles, recovering suspended ones, getting phone numbers live, fixing duplicates and, most of all, improving Maps rankings month after month. This is the work behind my specialist site GMB Expert India, and for American businesses, GMB Expert USA.

Local SEO and website SEO

On-page, technical and off-page SEO for business websites, built around the services and areas that actually bring enquiries. I work on WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace and hand-coded sites.

AEO and GEO for AI search

Answer Engine Optimization and Generative Engine Optimization: making sure AI tools describe and recommend your business accurately. How I work with clients

A few principles have shaped how I run my business, and they explain most of what you see on this website.

• You work with me. There is no account manager between us. I have a small team, including family members who help with production tasks, but I plan the work, review it and talk to you myself.
• Prices are published. My Local SEO and Google Maps plan is ₹5,000 a month, the complete website, Maps and AI search plan is ₹15,000 a month, and international work is $150 to $250 a month. You can see them on my pricing section without booking a call.
• No lock-in. Everything is month to month. If a month does not earn its fee, you can stop.
• No ranking guarantees. Google controls the results, and anyone who guarantees a position is either guessing or doing something risky. I commit to the work and to honest reporting.
• Reports from your own data. Monthly reports come from your Google Business Profile and Search Console, which you can open yourself at any time.
• Honest advice, even when it costs me work. If your profile only needs a small fix, I will tell you that rather than sell you a plan.

Results I can show you

I prefer to show results in the same place clients see them: the Google dashboard. In October 2026, the five client profiles in my results received 2,833 calls between them. A liver and gastro hospital in Guntur saw profile interactions rise 52.3 percent compared with October 2025. A gynecologist in Chandigarh received 577 calls from her profile in a single month. Where I work from

My office is in Sector 34A, Chandigarh. Clients in the Tricity can visit, and I am happy to meet over chai. Most clients, including many in Mohali and Panchkula, prefer WhatsApp and screen shares because it is faster. What I am learning now

SEO has changed more in the last two years than in the ten before. AI answers now sit above many search results, and customers ask ChatGPT for recommendations they used to type into Google. I spend a part of every week testing how AI tools describe businesses, what sources they cite and what changes their answers. Some of what I learn goes into the blog, and all of it goes into client work.

What has not changed is the core of the job. Find out what customers actually search for. Make sure the right business shows up. Prove it with numbers the client can check.
